As of April 13, more than 100 Ukrainian civilians killed by the invaders are known in the Sumy region. A large number of people went missing, their search continues.
This was announced by the head of the Sumy OVA Dmitry Zhivitsky. The official stressed that the number of found dead, unfortunately, is increasing every day.
The situation in the Sumy region
According to Zhyvitsky, every day in the Sumy region they find bodies with their hands tied, signs of torture, bullet shots in the head. Many people are missing, there are those who are captured by the invaders – a negotiation team is working on them.
There are many citizens whose fate we do not know anything at all. Shot cars were found on the roads, highways and in the forests, what happened to people from these cars is unknown, – said the head of the Sumy OVA.
Zhivitsky stressed that people who survived the occupation, through whose settlements columns from thousands of units of enemy equipment, have a serious psychological trauma.
The invaders fired at everything around, hit from tanks, machine guns and grenade launchers at civilians, at the elderly and children. People hid in swamps, agricultural enterprises, in silos. “It was terror and horror that the Russians inflicted in our region,” the head of the Sumy OVA added.
By the way, critical infrastructure facilities are gradually being restored in the region. In particular, in recent days, almost 25 thousand subscribers have resumed power supply in the region, and about 500 more households remain without electricity.
Dmytro Zhivitsky also said that road traffic is being resumed in the Sumy region , the clearance process is in progress. In addition, railway communication with a number of cities in the Sumy region is being resumed, and the sowing campaign is being actively carried out.
