Motuzyanyk about the situation at the front/Collage of Channel 24
Now the most active phase of Russia's full-scale armed aggression is going on in Ukraine. Since the enemy troops received a strategic defeat at the first stage of the war, now their command is changing tactics and massively attacking certain areas.
Speaker of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Alexander Motuzyanik, Channel 24 reports. He noted that now the goals of the aggressor are not so ambitious, but the Russian troops are still acting cruelly.
What territories does Russia want to take control of
Now, according to Motuzianyk, the hostile command is trying to take control of the administrative borders of Donetsk, Lugansk, and Kherson regions. Others the enemy's task is to encircle the grouping of Ukrainian troops and provide a land corridor to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The speaker of the Ministry of Defense notes that the situation is not simple now.The previous stage showed that Russia can act pointwise, but it does not succeed in full-scale battles. Having lost 17 battalion tactical groups, the Russian command no longer wants to take risks. Therefore, now the invaders are focusing on several targets, where they are pulling up all the available weapons and equipment.
The change in tactics in the Donetsk operational area and in the Slavic direction. Here around the clock fix the shelling of aircraft and artillery. The invaders continue to cynically destroy residential areas.
And it is these battles that are currently ongoing in the East, sums up Motuzyanyk, that will show what the outcome of this war will be.
The Russians are continuously shelling the Donbass
- Occupiers opened intense fire on the AZOT chemical plant in Severodonetsk and the oil refinery in Lisichansk.
- The capture of the East has been the main goal of the enemy for the third month already. To do this, the Russians dragged 25 battalion tactical groups (12,500 invaders) to the borders of the Lugansk region.
- Over the previous day, the Russian military killed at least 11 people from Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Another 13 civilians were injured. The grouping of the Joint Forces reports that they can fire at fifty settlements in the East in a day.
- Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova noted that the occupiers deliberately fire at people so that they could not travel to the territory controlled by Ukraine. According to her, the invaders attacked a bus with residents of the Mountain Community near the urban-type settlement of Vrubovka. There were 18 civilians in the transport. Currently, they are safe.
Recall, earlier Volodymyr Zelensky called the East of Ukraine the most difficult direction and stressed that 50-100 people can die there per day.
