Malyar commented on the threat of a new strike on the Sumy region/Ministry of Defense
Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar said that it is now impossible to predict whether the invaders will launch a new strike on the Sumy region. Now they are gathering troops to the border, but they have big problems with their personnel.
Anna Malyar stressed that the threat that the occupiers could again go on the offensive, in particular in the Sumy region, remains. However, the Russians are now acting unpredictably due to the lack of a long-term strategy, so it is difficult to predict their actions.
Russians have problems with personnel
Deputy Minister defense confirmed that the Russians are indeed pulling equipment to the Ukrainian border in the Sumy region. However, they are now having serious problems with their personnel, and they are looking for opportunities to replenish it.
Whether it will be hit or not, one cannot say for sure. If before February 24 Russia had clear strategic plans for a short, but clear-cut perspective, now this is not the case. They are now planning everything situationally, – Malyar said.
In addition, the Deputy Minister of Defense stressed that often the decisions of the Russian command go beyond military logic, emotional and not rational. Therefore, you need to be prepared for different scenarios.
In particular, Malyar noted that there is still a threat of a chemical attack and a repeated attempt by the Russians to break through our borders and go deep into the territory.
