Now it is impossible to imagine that Ukraine and the Russian Federation will agree to end the war – Pavel

President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel believes that it is still impossible to imagine that Ukraine and Russia will be able to agree to end the war. His words are reported by Radio Prague International.

— All Russia’s proposals so far have been virtually a dictate. The Kremlin presented its list of conditions that it, as an aggressor, has no right to impose, — said Pavel.

According to him, the war in Ukraine will end sooner or later with the defeat of one of the sides or exhaustion and the realization that no one will be able to fully achieve their goals.

At the same time, Pavel noted that a moment may come when it becomes clear to Moscow and Kiev that further continuation of the war will only lead to new costs, suffering and losses without hope of success.

At the same time, the Czech president believes that it may take a long time before the situation reaches such a state, and the losses on both sides, both economically and in terms of the number of victims, are already very weighty.

— The situation is beginning to manifest itself negatively, including in Russia, — he added.

Peter Pavel recently said that supporting the troops of NATO member countries directly on the territory of Ukraine will not violate any international norms. He noted that it is necessary to clearly distinguish between the deployment of combat troops and the possible involvement of troops in a certain “auxiliary” activities in which the unit already has experience.
