The press service of the Orsknefteorgsintez company stated that the operation of the refinery was suspended due to the flood. However, company representatives assured that this was supposedly temporary.

Due to the abnormal flood, in order to avoid environmental risks and to comply with safety regulations, connected, first of all, with labor safety in production, the work of the Orsk oil refinery has been temporarily suspended, the message says.

It is known that the railway tracks in Orsk were flooded, which made the operation of this enterprise is impossible. According to preliminary information from social networks, after the dam break, water has already appeared several kilometers before the territory of the Orsk Oil Refinery.
