Ukrainian defenders successfully liberate settlements in Kharkiv region from Russian occupation. However, some of them are completely destroyed.
This was told by the head of the Kharkov regional military administration Oleg Sinegubov. On September 9, he visited the newly liberated communities and talked with local residents.
Dismissed settlements need to be restored
Sinegubov said that local residents of the liberated settlements of the Kharkiv region, without exaggeration, met the Ukrainian military with tears of joy in their eyes.
Half a year in occupation. The Russians left the broken infrastructure and houses, a lot of trophies and piles of garbage. Residents, of course, need help. In most villages there is no electricity and gas, – added the head of the Regional Office of Public Administration.
According to him, communications will be restored in the near future, and humanitarian aid will be brought to civilians. However, before you need to carry out cleaning and demining. Police officers and the State Emergency Service are already working on the ground.
“We do not recommend those who have left to return to the relevant orders of the military. The local population talks a lot about the crimes of the occupiers and actively cooperates with law enforcement officers,” the chairman of the OVA noted.
He stressed that no traitor will escape responsibility. In particular, on September 9, the head of one of the villages of the de-occupied society, who collaborated with the enemy, was detained.
“It is very important to restore full-fledged work of local authorities in the liberated territories as soon as possible and establish a normal life. Most importantly: thanks to our Ukrainian flags are already everywhere!” – summed up Sinegubov.

Some de-occupied villages and towns are completely destroyedSinegubov said on the air of the national telethon that some of the settlements that liberated the Armed Forces of Ukraine were completely destroyed.
In fact, not a single surviving residential building remains. There are no people there yet, because it is practically impossible to live there, – the chairman of the UVA noted.
He added that civilians remained in some settlements. They were really looking forward to the de-occupation, because all these months they were in extremely terrible conditions.
