Ukraine’s partners are considering providing Swedish Gripen fighters to our Air Force. This is in addition to the American F-16.
A representative of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuri Ignat, announced this on the air of Unified News.
According to him, Ukrainian pilots have already tested Swedish aircraft.

— Gripen is being considered. The Swedish side can transfer to Ukraine the amount that it has today. We are not talking about quantity. But the main combat aircraft still remains the F-16. If they make a decision on Gripen — this will be a good option for us,” he said.
Yuriy Ignat also noted that the main combat aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces should be the American F-16.
Sweden plans to develop a new version of Gripen fighters, which the country's air force will then switch to. Therefore, Ukraine will have the prospect of receiving older Gripen.
In addition, Ukrainian pilots have already tested Swedish aircraft.
— During his first visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, the commander of the Air Force left specialists there to investigate the possibility of providing Ukraine with these aircraft and conduct familiarization flights on these aircraft to understand how it works.
