Nobody will say a clear number of transferred weapons, – Kostenko estimated the result from Ramstein-3/Collage 24 channel
Yesterday, a meeting of the contact group for the defense of Ukraine “Ramstein-3” was held. As a result of the meeting, it was decided to transfer more weapons to our state.
However, no one will say the exact number of transferred weapons. Roman Kostenko, People's Deputy and Secretary of the National Security Committee, told Channel 24 about this.
Results of the Ramstein-3 meeting
According to Kostenko, conclusions can be drawn when the transferred equipment will participate in hostilities. In addition, Ukraine needs to seriously consider how to counter the Russian Orlan-10 reconnaissance drones.
They are really effective, especially at night. There is a military proverb: “He who sees at night wins,” the speaker explained.
However, Ukrainian defenders successfully shoot them down, in particular thanks to the weapons of Western partners. Moreover, modern systems allow jamming the video signal of these drones. Consequently, the Russians will not be able to strike, because it will be impossible to transmit coordinates online.
What is known about the Ramstein meetings
- The meeting discusses support for Ukraine in the war with Russia. The goal is to meet the urgent needs of the state in the fight against the aggressor.
- The first meeting, which was joined by 40 countries, was held on April 26 in Germany. According to its results, it was decided to provide Ukraine with equipment for self-defense totaling more than 5 billion dollars.
- The online meeting “Ramstein-2” was held on May 23. It was joined by representatives of 4 more countries of the world.
- The third meeting was held at NATO Headquarters (Brussels). It brought together defense ministers from more than 55 countries.
- The key result of the Ramstein-3 meeting was the provision of military assistance to Ukraine from: the USA, Poland, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Canada and Germany. We are talking about 155-millimeter cannons, HIMARS missile systems, Harpoon anti-ship systems, helicopters, artillery and multiple launch rocket systems. watch the video
