Every year we remember a terrible catastrophe in the history of mankind, but this year it is not enough just to remember Chernobyl and say words of gratitude to the heroes-liquidators. It is not enough to recall the conclusions that every adequate society must draw, because this year Russia has created new threats that could surpass even a terrible tragedy, the head of state emphasized.
The President recalled the night of March 4, when Russian tanks fired at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and a fire broke out. The military knew what object they were firing at, but they had an order. Zelensky noted that that night he spoke with all the world leaders who could influence Russia.
