All Ukrainians understand how a full-scale war started by Russia should end. Today there is absolute synchronization of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the military vertical.
This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak in a commentary by the host of the United News telethon, Yana Brenzei. He commented on the NYT article about the alleged split between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
— We constantly discuss media products of foreign origin. I see that they will influence, and it’s not a problem at all to discuss all this. There is only one suggestion. We have a supreme commander. He cannot split, because on the contrary he collects everything.

The Supreme Commander builds his understanding of tactics and strategy on intelligence data, the General Staff and other additional materials. He makes political decisions based on the information he receives within the military cabinet, Headquarters, selectors and other things,” Podolyak noted.
In his opinion, it is now impossible to split our society, despite Russian propaganda statements about the alleged weakness of Ukraine.
– It’s impossible to split it… And why? Do we all understand how the war should end? I see competitions on social networks to see who can talk more about how we are supposedly weak and can’t do anything. The pendulum has moved to the other side, and some people are starting to say that we don’t have this, we don’t get that, our partners are already tired of us,” Podolyak noted.
In his opinion, Russian propaganda is aimed at additional demoralization in order to influence Ukrainians and enable the Russian Federation to negotiate on its own terms.
However, he assures that everyone is conscious about what the purpose of the war is and how it should end.
– What do these people want to get? They want to further demoralize the already difficult moral and emotional background in which we have been for 620 days of war. They want to show our partners that we have no unity. But the main thing is: do they want to negotiate with Russia, showing that we are supposedly so weak today that we agree to negotiate on Russia’s terms?
The President says that we are conscious of what the goal is in this war. The Russian Federation does not want any peace. The Russian Federation is killing us every day, and will do so until it loses the war. Yes, attention has partially shifted to the Middle East, but this does not mean that politically our partners have changed their attitude to how this war should end. And you don’t need to give them arguments to look for something compromise. You don't have to do this. There is no need to look for a black cat in a bright room,” Podolyak emphasized.
