Russia has announced a nationwide protest against partial mobilization. In all likelihood, such protests may eventually develop into a revolution in the country.
This opinion Channel 24 was expressed by Russian political scientist Abbas Gallyamov. In particular, on September 21, the Vesna movement announced the holding of a protest action “No graves”.
A revolution is brewing in Russia
According to the Russian political scientist, now in Russia the prerequisites for a full-fledged revolution are ripe.
Any rebellion can turn into a revolution. The Kremlin understands this very well. That is why Putin has been delaying the announcement of mobilization for so long,” Gallyamov noted.
The political scientist believes that in the current conditions, the head of the Kremlin and his entourage are only going with the flow.
“Now the freedom of the Kremlin is already completely paralyzed. They are not capable of making any courageous decision about the war in Ukraine. This is one of the main prerequisites for the revolution,” Gallyamov said.
Prospects for the action “No graves”
According to the Russian political scientist, it is difficult to say that people dissatisfied with Putin's decision to mobilize will come to the announced action en masse.
Although I do not rule out such an option. The Russians did not want to go to war in Ukraine, for example, in March, when their victory seemed very close. Then the contract paid good money. And all the same, there were no queues under the military registration and enlistment offices, – said Gallyamov.
Therefore, according to him, when the war is almost lost for Russia, there will definitely not be those who want to go to Ukraine as “cannon fodder”, and even free of charge. Therefore, the Russians can really oppose the mobilization.
Why the Russians didn't protest earlier
The Russian political scientist noted that many things did not suit the Russians before. However, they did not come out to protest, because the average Russian made a choice between “a sofa and the risk of getting hit on the head by an riot policeman”, or even going to jail.
And now the topic of the sofa disappeared, the Russians no longer have this option. The average Russian now has a choice: either go to Ukraine and be burned to ashes by a HIMARS shell, or protest. In this situation, the Russians can say: “I'd rather go fight with the riot police,” Gallyamov explained.
The political scientist added that for the Russians, even the best option would be to go to jail for several yearsand save your life.
What to expect in Russia after the start of mobilization
Even if mass riots do not break out immediately after the announcement of mobilization, this process is irreversible . According to Gallyamov, two processes are important for the active reaction of the Russians, which can occur simultaneously.
- The first mobilized “cannon fodder” will leave for Ukraine.
- At the same time, the Ukrainians will commit the same offensive near Kherson, as it was near Kharkov.
“If these two moments coincide in time, then Russian women – wives and mothers of people who were called up and thrown into battle “not fired” – will start to take to the streets en masse“, suggested Gallyamov.
