Experts refuted the lies of the Russians about the terrorist attack in Yelenovka/Collage of 24 channels
On July 29, the Russian military carried out a terrorist act in the colony in Yelenovka. Captured Ukrainians were kept there, including defenders of Azovstal. Immediately, the enemy began to blame the UAF for this.

But weapons experts disagree with the lies that the Russian military is spreading. They emphasize that the terrorist attack in Yelenovka could not have happened because of the alleged HIMARS attack.
The structure would simply not survive
Chris Cobb-Smith emphasizes this. He voiced his opinion after viewing images and videos of the consequences of the tragedy in Olenivka. The expert emphasizes that the destruction from the HIMARS impact would have been of a much different nature.
In these videos, there is no sinkhole anywhere, the beds did not move, the poles are not damaged, but massive fire damage is visible. If it was a guided multiple launch rocket system, you would see craters, broken ceilings and walls, blown up bodies, emphasizes Cobb-Smith.
The consequences are more like a fire
The expert also noted that the materials do not show the consequences of damage that are characteristic of explosions. In his opinion, the consequences occurred precisely because of the intense and large-scale fire. So the destroyed roof was more likely through fire, and not a shell strike or a blast wave from being hit.
At that The time surprised him in another way. Enemy did not detect “remains” of shells from HIMARS. According to Cobb-Smith, this should have been removed in the first place. Recall that Ukrainian law enforcement officers are not only filming the attack sites, but also looking for the remains of ammunition in order to understand what exactly the enemy struck. Since the Russians did not do this, with a high degree of probability we can say that there is simply no relevant evidence.
The explosion was from inside
The journalists also talked to other US officials. The latter also denied involvement in the terrorist attack in Olenovka MLRS HIMARS. One of them emphasized that there was no doubt that the respective rocket launchers had nothing to do with it.
It is clear to our explosives experts that this was not an explosion from outside. It is highly likely that he is from inside the location, – another official emphasized.
It is not economically feasible to use HIMARS
Analysts also agreed on one more opinion. They noted that it would simply not be economically feasible for Ukraine to use HIMARS in this case. First of all, it should be understood that the colony in Olenovka is located 15 kilometers from the front line. And this means that the Armed Forces of Ukraine, if they really made this attack, and this did not happen, they would use other weapons.
Besides, the HIMARS ammunition itself is insanely expensive. And our military beat them only on the accumulation of the enemy, as well as on the logistics infrastructure. The destroyed Antonovsky bridge is a vivid proof of this.
