Christopher Krebs, head of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) under the US Department of Homeland Security, said the agency had found no evidence of foreign interference in the country's presidential elections. This was reported on the agency's website.
“We have no evidence that any foreign adversary was capable of preventing Americans from casting their vote or changing the vote,” Krebs said in a statement.
Krebs added that the agency will continue to closely monitor any outside attempts to influence the vote count and election results.
Earlier, Acting US Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolfe said that Washington sees no signs of external influence on the voting process, and that the infrastructure intended for the elections is quite stable.
In the United States, the counting of votes for candidates for the presidency of the country continues. The current head of state, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, who served as vice president under Barack Obama, are fighting for the top post. In many states, the difference between presidential contenders is tenths of a percent. So far, Biden has 264 electoral votes, while Trump has 214. Despite the fact that the final results of the presidential election are not yet, Trump has already congratulated his voters on the victory. Biden's headquarters also expressed confidence in victory.
