No complaints against Putin: how the Russians will justify their defeat in the war

by alex

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin spoke about the threat of the collapse of Russia. With his statements, the president of the aggressor country is trying to intimidate the Russians.

Political strategist Boris Tizenhausen told Channel 24 about this. According to him, there is a point of view that the head of the Kremlin with such statements is preparing the Russians for defeat in the war in Ukraine.

Like, the dictator will withdraw troops from Ukraine, and then declare that in this way he saved Russia from the collapse that the “evil West” is seeking. Tizenhausen is sure that such an option is impossible.

On whom will “hang” defeat in the war

After all, the head of the Kremlin has not explained anything to the Russians for a long time, including on the situation at the front.

“Now the formula is working in Russia” declare some military leader guilty “ . For example, replace Sergei Surovikin with Valery Gerasimov, and say that they are to blame (in Russia's defeats – Channel 24),” the political strategist noted.

He added that even with a complete defeat, Putin will not justify himself to the people.

As a last resort, he can remove Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and declare that he is to blame for the fact that the occupiers surrendered the Donetsk or Lugansk region. Tizenhausen stressed.

According to him, if Putin at least explained something to the population of Russia, he explained at least the process that directly relates to the life of Russian citizens – mobilization.

At the same time, in September 2022, the dictator simply “supported” the decision of the Ministry of Defense. At the same time, he did not even make an effort to tell the Russians what they should die for.

Russians do not understand what democracy is

Russian oppositionists, who mostly live abroad, spread the thesis that Russians want democracy. However, Vladimir Putin allegedly impedes this process. Tizenhausen noted that Russian society has never been democratic.

What's more, Kremlin propaganda has completely distorted Russians' perceptions of democracy.

For them, this is necessarily some kind of gay parade, “parent number 1 and number 2.” The Russians are convinced that this is what democracy leads to, – said the political strategist.

He added that the population of Russia is trying to disassociate itself from participation in the political life of the country as much as possible. Even during opinion polls about why the war in Ukraine has been going on for so long, Russians say that Putin knows better.

“Even in the event of a complete defeat in the war, the inhabitants of Russia will not put forward any claims to Putin . To anyone, but not to him,” Tizengauzen said.

How Russians will explain Putin's failure to themselves

According to the political strategist, when the occupiers flee from the Donetsk, Luhansk regions and other occupied territories, they will come up with an excuse why it should be so.

For example, they will say that Putin has a plan, that he thinks in terms of decades. They say that in 10 years we will grow “normal” Russian-minded people in these territories and achieve a split in Ukraine,” Tyzenhausen suggested.

Or the people of Russia may believe that Russia just wanted to scare the world. Like, Putin showed everyone where someone's place is. But Russia does not need foreign territories. Tizenhausen added that the Russians would sincerely believe in such excuses.

Putin's statement on the collapse of Russia: briefly

  • Vladimir Putin decided to scare the Russians with the fact that the West allegedly seeks to divide Russia. The dictator said that the Russian people could disappear after the war.
  • Russian human rights activist Mark Feigin believes that in this way the dictator is trying to scare the Russians and encourage them to go to fight for Russia.
  • Political scientist Vladimir Fesenko suggested that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin wants to justify himself to his people because of the defeats in the war. However, he seeks to intimidate the Russians and keep the identification of Russia with his figure.
