Officials noted that this was the only US base that Iran attacked. No similar strikes were recorded in other regions.

In addition, air defense systems at the American air base in Ain al-Asad in Iraq were activated due to a possible threat.

Recall that on June 23, Iranian state media declared a “powerful and victorious” response to US strikes. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard fired missiles at US bases in Qatar and Iraq, and explosions were heard in Doha.

Iran launched six missiles at targets in Qatar, Israel says.

Before the blasts, Qatar temporarily closed its airspace as a precaution and said it reserved the right to respond.
