The USA will elect a new president on November 5. According to Volodymyr Zelensky, the elections in the United States may affect the war in Ukraine.

It is not yet known what impact they will have. The Ukrainian president spoke about this on the air of the telethon, writes 24 Channel.

The United States has its own challenges

“The main donor of democracy in Ukraine is the United States. And if their policy changes after the elections, then these changes are Plan B,” Zelensky said.

According to the president, it is not yet known what it will be. Because now in the US various statements can be heard for or against Ukraine.

Nobody knows how it will be after, because they are not fighting for Ukraine, but are fighting in their elections, which is fair for their state. For us, not so much, because we must remain in focus, he noted.

The head of state noted that the US is currently having its own war – “without bullets, but still a war.”

“And there, people take certain steps, certain statements, certain words, which can even lead to explosions in Ukraine. But for them, this is politics, unfortunately,” Zelensky explained.

He also noted that the elections in the US are, first of all, a choice of course for the country, and it has its own challenges.
