20-year-old gymnast Vlada Nikolchenko was excluded from the Ukrainian rhythmic gymnastics team.
This was reported by Tribuna.com with reference to Acting Minister of Youth and Sports Matvey Bedny.
The Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation confirmed this information to Suspilna Sport, but refused to provide any comment on this matter.

Recently Nikolchenko spoke negatively about Poland. At the Warsaw airport, she published an emotional story on Instagram, in which she stated that she hated Poland and the Poles because they “ruined her mood.”
The ex-Secretary General of the Polish Gymnastics Federation, Piotr Dec, reacted to this. He wrote that he was outraged by the current situation.
After this, the Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation announced that it had begun disciplinary proceedings against Nikolchenko. The athlete herself apologized for her words, saying that she had a nervous breakdown.
