Mykolaiv will not be closed on the Independence Day of Ukraine and on the eve of the holiday. However, there will be no mass measures in the city.
The local authorities have only one request for residents – be as careful as possible and not accumulate in groups. This was announced by the head of the Nikolaev regional military administration Vitaly Kim on August 22.
Independence Day should be spent wisely
We will not close the city on August 23-24. However, I ask everyone to be as careful as possible. We are not taking any measures, please do not gather in large groups these days. Use this time to relax wisely,” Vitaly Kim emphasized.
The OVA is also preparing an order where it recommends that everyone work remotely these days.
In addition, Kim dispelled the myths that that the Russians have recently stepped up their offensive against Nikolaev. “This, like at the beginning of the war, is inflated so that everyone is afraid. The military does not see the prospects for an early advance of the enemy towards Nikolaev. Therefore, believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they protect and protect us,” the head of the Nikolaev police department said.
