Night attack by drones: the Air Force said where the enemy launched Shahids

by alex

On the night of February 27, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. This time they changed the launch site.

Yury Ignat, a representative of the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told Channel 24 about this. According to him, the alarm was long enough, but this is a standard story. The occupiers mainly launch kamikaze drones from 11 p.m. to about 3 a.m.

During the flight, Shahed-136s actively maneuver to bypass air defense zones. Unfortunately, the invaders sometimes have information about the approximate location of Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Unfortunately, they have data from their intelligence regarding the approximate location of the air defense. If they were accurate, they would have already tried to destroy them. Therefore, they can lay routes to avoid the air defense affected area. Even at night, it is quite difficult to shoot down these drones with MANPADS or machine guns,” Ignat noted.

Where were the kamikaze drones launched from?

As Ignat said, the occupiers launched Shahids not from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov. This time, the enemy drones flew away from the territory of the Bryansk region of Russia. The closer the launch site to the target, the fewer obstacles in the way of the “Shahid”

The air defense forces coped, but not everyone was able to shoot down. Sometimes they hit 100%. But it must be very lucky. Unfortunately, 3 “Shahid” failed to destroy. There are victims, my condolences to their families. 11 “Shahids” managed to be destroyed, – Ignat noted.

At one time, the invaders launched Iranian kamikaze drones from Belarus a few months ago. There were about two such attacks, but now they do not launch Shahids from there. Ignat suggests that such raids have ceased due to certain political issues.
