The day before, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region, Kirill Budanov, commented on the sabotage at the “doomsday” airfield. According to him, this was reflected both in the FSB and in the leadership of the aggressor country.

What impact does sabotage have at the Chkalovsky airfield

First of all, we are talking about a real blow to the FSB. Actually, this structure should be responsible for protecting the facility. It was its employees who were accused offailing to secure the airfield. But that’s not all.

This demonstrates the regime’s obvious inability to protect its most important and secure infrastructure. And if we talk about airplanes, then, of course, there are a lot of them in Russia, but some of them, for example Il-20, are not available in large quantities,” Budanov added.

He also noted that airplane explosions on airfield “Chkalovsky” –the work of one of the sabotage groups. They, in turn, are “in a certain way” connected with the Main Intelligence Directorate.
