News New Rammstein meeting to take place on February 12: this time under British chairmanship by alex 06.02.2025 written by alex 06.02.2025 6 The new Rammstein meeting will take place on February 12: this time under the chairmanship of Britain's Sergey Popovich The next meeting in the Ramstein format will take place on February 12. This time it will be led by Great Britain, not the United States. The future of the Ramstein format will depend heavily on the US administration, Channel 24 reports, citing Radio Liberty. What to expect at the upcoming Ramstein meeting Back in January, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that the meeting would take place in Brussels before the Munich Security Conference, scheduled for February 14-16. He noted that the future of the Rammstein format remains uncertain, since much depends on the US administration. This time, the UK will take over the chairmanship of the meeting. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov previously stated that the next meeting of the group could take place in February. Some functions of the Contact Group have already been transferred to NATO. The NSATU (NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine) mission has begun work in Wiesbaden, Germany, coordinating arms supplies to Ukraine in accordance with the promises of partner countries and Ukraine's needs. However, the Alliance has not yet taken on a political role in convening the meetings. Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur assured Radio Liberty that regardless of the fate of Rammstein, the allies will continue to support Ukraine through specialized coalitions – fighters, armored vehicles, air defense, drones, and the like. The Rammstein format was founded in April 2022, when then-Pentagon Secretary Lloyd Austin convened representatives of allied countries at the US Air Force base in the city of the same name in Germany. Since then, it has become a platform for coordinating military assistance to Kyiv. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail alex previous post Israel follows US in leaving UN Human Rights Council: What is the reason? next post EU could hit US tech firms in response to Trump tariffs – FT You may also like EU could hit US tech firms in response... 06.02.2025 Boryspil Airport Ready to Resume Flights After Skies... 05.02.2025 Putin's contacts with Trump confirmed 05.02.2025 The situation in the Zaporizhia direction has improved... 05.02.2025 Russian military faces serious communication problem due to... 05.02.2025 Another prisoner exchange: 150 defenders returned home 05.02.2025 After Georgescu: Pro-Russian ex-president of Moldova declares country's... 05.02.2025 Ukraine is preparing three new packages of sanctions... 05.02.2025 Belarus Starts Exporting Jet-Powered UAVs with Kamikaze Function 05.02.2025 In Russia, conscription does not compensate for losses... 05.02.2025 Leave a Comment Cancel Reply Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
