What is known about the Usyk-Fury fight
The teams of Usik and Fury reached an agreement to hold a fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion at the end of September.
The fight was expected to take place on December 23, 2023, but due to a cut the Briton received in a fight with Francis Ngannou, the fight was postponed. It was noted that Fury would not have time to recover for the fight in December.
At stake in the Usyk-Fury fight will be the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBF belts, as well as the secondary IBO and The Ring titles owned by Usyk.
At the same time, if one of the boxers activates the rematch option, then the IBF belt will probably not be up for grabs, because after the first fight its owner will be required to fight with challenger Filip Hrgovic from Croatia.
