Political scientist, head of the Center for Analysis and Strategies Igor Chalenko told Channel 24 , noting that the country’s prime minister is currently accused of the failure of October 7. Then Hamas attacked Israel.

“Therefore, he is doing everything to show that Israel will control the Gaza Strip for security reasons. We remember the statements that the Gaza Strip will remain under the control of the IDF,” the political scientist said.

There is now an active discussion about what to do next with the Gaza Strip. After all, if the Israeli army remains there for a certain period, this will not solve the issue.

“It is obvious that we still need to come out. Otherwise, anti-Israeli forces will simply present this situation as if Israel will be an “occupier country.” The same as they do in general about the situation with Palestine,” Chalenko noted.

Two-state formula

The head of the Center for Analysis and Strategies added that now it is necessary to reduce “anti-Israeli hysteria” in the world, especially in the Arab states. The United States of America is currently working on this.

As soon as we see a certain departure from Israel’s opponents from anti-Semitic policies, then, accordingly, Israel itself will step forward and begin appropriate negotiations. All the same, we will have to settle on a two-state formula – Palestine and Israel,” the political scientist believes.

Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip

• Benjamin Netanyahu said that after the completion of the ground operation, the Israeli army will remain in the Gaza Strip. However, the position of the Israeli Prime Minister contradicts the position of the United States. The United States wants to preserve the Palestinian Authority and station international forces there.
