The world is making predictions about the end of Russia's war against Ukraine. They note that the Korean version is possible, when the conflict is frozen for a decade, or the Syrian one – hostilities for many years.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov does not consider these options realistic. He noted that infidels can still blackmail the West with resources.

“Now I do not undertake to make forecasts. But it seems to me that neither one nor the second option is the main scenario,” the minister said.

Ukraine has more allies

According to Reznikov, the Korean story will not happen because the Russians did not freeze the war in 2014, but decided to go on a full-scale offensive in 2022. As for “Syria”, the occupiers also have limited human and armed resources. At the same time, Ukraine's number of allies is increasing.

“That is, as they say, the collective West, the civilized West, which today is more and more interested in our victory,” the minister said.

A realistic plan

However, as Reznikov stressed, there is a danger that if gas prices rise, taxes increase, inflation sets in, then Western countries may ease pressure on Russia. They will persuade Ukraine to negotiate on unfavorable terms.

If their internal agenda pushes hard, it could weaken our position. And then some politicians will dream to put us at the negotiating table,” Reznikov explained.

He stressed that Ukraine must win a winning position on the battlefield. The minister considers this a realistic plan.
