Podolyak spoke about ways to free people from Mariupol/Office of the President
Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak said that there are several ways to release civilians and defenders of Mariupol. In particular, this can be done by military means or through an intermediary country.
Podolyak spoke about this on the air of the national telethon, Channel 24 reports. According to him, Mariupol is a fantastic symbol of Ukraine. This city proved that Ukraine is a different state than they were imagined in Russia.
There are several ways to release people from Mariupol
Podolyak noted that President Volodymyr Zelensky is deeply immersed in the situation that has developed due to the blockade of Mariupol. The head of state clearly understands all the risks, as it is in any plan to dismiss people.
Of course, we use all the ways that we can. We are negotiating. And even, as it was suggested, the negotiating group can partially go there. It would be desirable if someone also came from the negotiating group from the Russian side. We would have held a certain round there and taken our people,” the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office noted.
He added that people from Mariupol can also be fired by opening humanitarian corridors or through an intermediary country.
“For example, Turkey has repeatedly said that it is ready to take people away by sea,” Podolyak said.
The fourth way to dismiss is a military de-blockade at any time when the Armed Forces of Ukraine develop a realistic plan.

It is difficult to negotiate with Russia
Podolyak noted that Russia has practically refused to comply with any international declarations or observe the rules and customs of warfare.
“Of course, this is a very difficult situation when they even spat on their reputation. They are already as odious as possible after the events that took place in the Kyiv region. And therefore, of course, it is very difficult to talk with them about some such human rules“, – added the adviser. chairman of the OP.
In his opinion, Russia needs to give away the people who are in Mariupol so that it is at least a little closer to human civilization.
“This would be at least some step for the world to understand that Russia is it's not a completely lost country.But I think it's very difficult, because you see what a fog.They must be using something very powerful.So what do they think, how they work propaganda, how they make official statements all the time – it's just terrible,” Podolyak said.
He stressed that Ukraine is a civilized state, and the president constantly wants to save the lives of as many people as possible, especially those who are in Mariupol today.
