Former US Ambassador to NATO and former US Special Representative in Ukraine announced this on the air of the All-Ukrainian Telethon. Volker stressed that Kyiv needs to be especially tough in its position on Crimea.

The ex-Special Representative of the United States is convinced that Crimea is the same part of Ukraine as, for example, the Kyiv region. There is no reason for Russian troops to remain on the peninsula, they must be withdrawn in the same way as from the Donbass and other regions of Ukraine.
Sanctions are strong against Russia, – Volker
Sanctions are powerful against the Russian economy. However, this takes time, and no one can say exactly how much, Volker added.
Russia's military strength is weakened, the economy is weakened, it is losing the energy market. Ukraine constantly receives weapons, its population is selfless. Trends are in favor of Ukraine,” Volker clarified.
Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia: latest news
