Drone attack in Russia on January 5: what the Russian Defense Ministry says

The Russian Defense Ministry insists that 61 UAVs were destroyed on the night of January 5:

  • 37 – over the Rostov region;
  • 20 – over the Bryansk region;
  • two – over the Voronezh region;
  • po one – over the Belgorod and Oryol regions.

In the Rostov region, both representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry and the local governor Yuri Slyusar claim that 37 drones were allegedly eliminated.

This happened in Taganrog, Millerovsky, Tarasovsky and Belokalitvinsky districts.

People from four households in Taganrog and Novobessergenovka in the Neklinovsky district complained about damage to property from the downed drones.

Windows were allegedly broken in the houses, and roofs and walls were torn up. Cars were also damaged.

However, locals claim that the drones were targeting airfields in Millerovo and near Taganrog.

Attack on Bryansk Oblast
