For more than half a year, Russia has been mercilessly bombarding Ukraine with multiple rocket launchers. How many shells the aggressor has left is a question that causes a lot of controversy.
But military expert Alexander Musienko notes that any stocks tend to run out. them are minimal. He expressed this opinion on the air Channel 24.
What is the situation with the MLRS
You need to understand that the aggressor state used Western technologies for shells – the Russians did not even make an accelerometer for missiles on their own. Most of the components were produced by Kazakhstan, which banned the export of weapons for at least a year.
Of course, they may still have a large number of such missiles in stock. But they will not be able to restore stocks in the proper amount in order to maintain a barrage of fire and the intensity of shelling. I think they will not be enough “for years”, as some predict. Stocks are running out,” Musienko noted.
They did not expect that they would have to fight for so long and fire so many shells against Ukraine. “Perhaps they were thinking of shooting them against NATO. And here only against Ukraine,” Musienko stressed.
According to various Western estimates, Russians will have enough stocks without renewal for a maximum of six months.
