On Tuesday, November 26, a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the ambassadorial level was held, where the launch of the experimental ballistic missile Oreshnik by Russia on the Ukrainian Dnieper was discussed.

Meeting was held in the online communication format.

Launch of Oreshnik on the Dnieper — position of the Ukraine-NATO Council

— The attack, which was aimed at the Dnieper, is seen as another attempt by Russia to terrorize the civilian population in Ukraine and intimidate Kyiv's partners, — the participants indicated.

The Council participants, in turn, emphasized that the Kremlin had failed to achieve its goal and they would continue to support the Ukrainian people, who are today resisting unjustified aggression and trying to defend themselves from regular shelling by the Russian army.

The Alliance's position was also repeated at the meeting, according to which the use of an experimental Russian ballistic missile will not change the course of the conflict and will not prevent NATO allies from supporting Ukraine.

Recall that on November 21, immediately after the attack on the Dnieper, dictator Vladimir Putin himself stated that the attack on Ukraine was a test of the latest ballistic missile Oreshnik.

According to the Kremlin leader, Oreshnik is a weapon designed to deliver nuclear charges, although this time the missile was launched without them. According to him, the target was allegedly hit during the strike.
