NATO Deputy Secretary General James Appathurai arrived on a visit to Tbilisi. He gave a briefing to local journalists, at which he stated that the doors of the Alliance are open for Georgia.

At the briefing, Appathurai said that the Foreign Ministers of the NATO member countries at the last meeting adopted the decision to step up support for countries threatened by Russia. The Deputy Secretary General of the Alliance noted that they are now actively working in this direction.
