NATO expects more provocations in unrecognized Transnistria/Channel 24 Collage
NATO allows new provocations in unrecognized Transnistria. The Alliance believes that their goal is to create additional problems for Ukraine.
At the same time, there is no military threat to Moldova itself yet. This was stated in an interview with the Romanian edition Digi24 by NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoane, channel 24 reports. noted that NATO currently sees no military risks for Moldova or Georgia, another country under intense pressure from Russia.
However, we we expect provocations and operations under a false flag – not so much to create problems for Moldova, but for Ukrainian forces in Western Ukraine and in the Odessa region, – said NATO Deputy Secretary General.
By the way, the official added that NATO is not excludes possible attempts to destabilize the Republic of Moldova by Russia.
Recall that last week a number of provocations took place in the unrecognized Transnistria. In particular, on April 25, in Tiraspol, explosions near the so-called Ministry of State Security.
The next day, near the village of Mayak, two antennas were damaged at the local television and radio center, broadcasting Russian frequencies.
