Zelensky and Biden revealed the details of the conversation
During the conversation, Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Joe Biden for:
- the powerful assistance, both security and macro-financial, that the United States provides in countering Russian aggression;
- a separate one for providing Ukraine with an unprecedented $6 billion aid package: $3 billion in defense assistance and referrals and $3 billion in financial assistance through the World Bank;
- especially with the inclusion of NASAMS air defense systems in the new aid package, because these advanced air defense systems will help us protect our cities from missile terror.

The President of Ukraine also told Joseph Biden about:
- the scale of destruction of housing and infrastructure in Ukraine, proposed to strengthen coordination to address pressing issues in this regard;
- the situation at the Zaporizhzhya NPP and the global risks that it may entail. The leaders agreed on the need to return the nuclear power plant to the control of Ukraine and ensure access to it by the IAEA in accordance with the accepted modalities.
Volodymyr Zelensky also said that the free world should increase pressure on Russia< /strong> to force peace on him.

I thanked the President and all the people of the United States for defense assistance and tangible leadership in macro-financial support for our nation. Biden commented on the conversation with Zelensky
“I congratulated Ukraine on Independence Day and expressed my admiration for the Ukrainian people who inspired the world by defending the sovereignty of their country in over the past six months,” the White House said.
It also explained that Biden and Zelensky called on Russia to return full control of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to Ukraine and give the International Atomic Energy Agency access to the nuclear power plant.
