Sony has named the cost of the PlayStation 5 in Russia. This was reported to “Lente.ru” by a company representative.
As announced at the presentation, which took place on September 16, the console will go on sale in Russia on November 19. The cost of the version without a floppy drive is 37,999 rubles. The version with the drive is estimated at 46,999 rubles.
At the presentation, the company presented several new games. The main one was God of War: Ragnarok, which will be released in 2021. They also announced Final Fantasy XVI, a game based on the Harry Potter universe Hogwarts Legacy, and showed new trailers for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon's Souls and other projects.
The PlayStation 5 will receive a processor based on AMD Zen 2 architecture with a frequency of 3.5 gigahertz, an AMD RDNA 2 graphics card with a capacity of more than 10 teraflops and 16 gigabytes of GDDR6 RAM. The 825 gigabyte SSD has a bandwidth of 5.5 to 9 gigabytes per second and according to PlayStation project chief engineer Mark Cerny, the console can load two gigabytes of data in a quarter of a second. The DualSense gamepad has reverse kickback triggers.
In early September, the price of the main PS5 competitor on the market – the Xbox Series X game console – became known. The flagship model was priced at $ 499, the younger version of the Xbox Series S will be available for $ 299. In Russia, the official cost of the consoles was 45,590 and 26,990 rubles, respectively. Pre-orders for consoles will open on September 22, Xbox Series devices will go on sale on November 10.
