Serhiy Nayev announced the end of his term as commander of the Ugledar tactical group in accordance with the order of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Together with the officers of the management level, he is leaving one of the hottest areas of the Donetsk region. In the future, the defense in the Ugledar area will be held by one of the newly created corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Thank you to all the reliable and dedicated benefactors who supported the attached brigades during the four months of our rotation. Thanks to you, we responded promptly to challenges and strengthened the combat capability of the units,” Nayev noted.
During his tenure, the forces of the Ugledar tactical group inflicted significant losses on the enemy:

- 19,608 occupiers were destroyed (of which 9,692 were liquidated, 9,916 were wounded);
- 74 tanks, 138 armored combat vehicles, 316 artillery systems were destroyed;
- 1,296 units of automotive equipment were disposed of.
Naev emphasized that thanks to the coordinated actions of the officers, the group not only held the defense in critical areas, but also improved the tactical position five times, lured the enemy into a trap seven times, and subsequently destroyed the equipment.
“The most important thing is that we did not allow a breakthrough to Dnepropetrovsk region!” he emphasized.
In conclusion, the general added: The main priority is the life and health of our soldiers and sergeants. We must win not with “meat assaults,” but with wisdom, precision, ingenuity, and the intelligent use of technology.
Let us recall that on February 11, 2024, President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Nayev from the post of commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In February 2025, Naev arrived at a new location to carry out combat missions.
As of April 2025, he was the commander of the Ugledar tactical group of the Donetsk operational-tactical group.
