The Ministry of Defense believes that there will always be a threat to Kyiv from Russia now.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar said this at a briefing at the Media Center, Channel 24 reports.
We must be aware that there will always be a threat to Kyiv. Because destroying Kyiv and destroying Ukrainian power is the fastest way to conquer Ukraine. Therefore, we just have to live with the opinion that this threat will always be from now on,” said Malyar. Fortunately, it was shot down by the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces.
Is a second attack on Kyiv possible
The enemy had two strategic goals – to reach the border of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions and capture the capital, from the enemy nothing happened. However, the Kyiv city military administration has repeatedly noted that the capital still remains a high threat of enemy missile strikes.
By the way, the Washington Post published data that Ukrainian border guards are allegedly preparing again for a possible invasion of Russian troops into Sumy and Chernihiv region. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense stressed that they were ready to repulse any attempts to re-invasion.
Recall that military exercises continued in Belarus on the border with Ukraine and Western countries. They will last at least until May 28. At the same time, there seems to be no conscription of persons liable for military service in Belarus. Also on the territory of the country, preparations are underway for large-scale training in June.
