The murder of a man in the Desnyansky district of Kyiv occurred on the morning of July 8.
The police received a report of the shooting at around 7 a.m., the Kyiv police reported.

According to preliminary information, an unknown person approached a car parked on the street, in which a man was located, and fired a gun.

After the shot, the attacker fled the scene.
The victim died on the spot from the gunshot wound he received.
The police are currently establishing the identity of the deceased and the motives for the crime.
An investigative and operational group of the territorial division and the capital's main police department is working at the scene of the incident. Criminal investigation officers and dog handlers with service dogs are also involved in the investigation.
A criminal case has been opened regarding the murder in the Desnyansky district of Kyiv under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional murder.
The sanction of the article provides for a punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.
The police are searching for the attacker. Law enforcement officers are asking witnesses of the incident or people who have any information about the shooting in the Desnyansky district to contact the police.
