On Tuesday, May 24, in Kyiv completed a mural dedicated to the military meme. If earlier Saint Javelina was only on T-shirts or stickers, now her mural is located on one of the capital's buildings.
The Javelin Holidays meme has become known not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. They make merch with the Saint, and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov wear T-shirts with her image.
Now the Saint Javelina has gained a large scale – on Tuesday, May 24, work on the creation of mural in the Solomensky district of the city of Kyiv. The mural of the saint, who holds the Javelin in her hands, is located on the wall of one of the multi-storey residential buildings along Aviaconstructor Antonov Street.
This will be the fourth large mural in the Solomensky district of Kyiv. Here, two houses away, there is a mural depicting Peter Franko, the son of the great Ukrainian poet Ivan Franko, painted a year and a half ago. In general, there was an idea to create an alley of murals here,” said Kyiv activist Ivan Lesnoy, who took part in the creation of the project.
According to him, the organizers, together with activists from the Solomensky district, were preparing the facades of houses in order to realize the idea – to draw a series of portraits of little-known Ukrainians.
Ivan Lesnoy said that the creation of the mural was sponsored by the Canadian-Ukrainian brand Saint Javelin.< /p>
“Javelin Holidays” caused some discussion in the community. In this case, I want to clarify that the image is not the Mother of God, on the contrary, it is simply a new symbol of our struggle against the invaders. We share art and religion,” the activist notes.
John said that he was approached by his friends from the creative group of artists Kailas-V. It was they who offered the activist to create a new mural with “Saint Javelina”. mural-svjataja-dzhavelina-8174f2c.jpg” alt=”Mural "Saint Javelina" completed in Kyiv” />

According to the head of the creative team of Kailas-V Yana Volk, directly involved in the creation of a new mural, the group was approached precisely because it has extensive experience in creating murals.
In the capital, for example, we created murals depicting Grushevsky, Skoropadsky. Javelin Holidays is also an art project, an artistic interpretation. This work does not contradict our internal principles in any way, that's why we undertook it, – she noted.
A creative group consisting of 4 people worked on “Saint Javelina”. On May 24, the project was finally completed.
