In the south of Ukraine, the Russian invaders are focused on defensive actions. However, the enemy continues sabotage and reconnaissance activities, in particular, in the direction of the Great Potemkinsky and another group of islands.
However, this activity is possible only because the occupiers still have watercraft, which are taken from local residents. This was told to Channel 24 by the head of the Joint Press Center of the Security and Defense Forces of the South, Natalya Gumenyuk.

At the same time, the work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is very productive, and the invaders have less and less watercraft. In addition, they need time to rebuild.
Most likely, now the occupying army is concentrating its forces on the directions of future defensive lines . The enemy moves away from the left bank. This is the work of our defenders so that the Russians fire less on the right-bank Kherson region.
“The occupiers are trying to equip new lines of defense – deeper in the rear and it is there that they concentrate, since movement is also difficult for them due to our fire control over logistics and transport routes,” Gumenyuk said.

The enemy is hiding behind the locals
In the South, the Russians continue to maneuver and hide behind the locals. To do this, they carry out pseudo-evacuation. Although in reality it looks like dragging civilians behind them to the places where the occupiers plan to concentrate their forces.
The Russians are aware that the resistance movement is working powerfully against them, and our intelligence is aware of their locations, so they are trying to disperse as much as possible. – said Gumenyuk.
According to her, that is why in the reports on the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of concentration of manpower of the occupiers, we see figures of losses of 10-12 people. The enemy is trying to deploy in small groups in order to avoid a powerful defeat, for example, it was in Makeevka.
