On the night of September 3, it became known about the breakdown of a ship that transports Ukrainian food abroad. During the voyage from Istanbul to Ukraine, it anchored.
This was reported by the General Directorate of Coastal Security of Turkey. The department reported a malfunction of a vessel engaged in the export of Ukrainian products by the grain corridor.
The bulk carrier anchored in Kandilla
As noted in the department, the ship broke down during the flight from Istanbul to Ukraine. Note that in the Turkish city, boats are tested and only after it are sent to our state.
As the bulk carrier broke down, she had to be anchored in Qandilla. It is known that we are talking about the vessel BRIZA, the length of which is 107 meters. According to the agency, the tugs KURTARMA-5 and KURTARMA-6, as well as the boat KEGM-5, were promptly sent to it. We add that as of 03:00 it was reported about temporarily stopped traffic on the Bosphorus.

This is a general cargo ship. BRIZA was built back in 2003, so the bulk carrier is already 19 years old. And he swims under the banner of the Cook Islands. Vessel's destination is Chornomorsk Odessa region. According to the schedule, it should arrive there on September 4 at 19:00.
On the eve of the Bosphorus blocked another ship
Note that a few days ago the bulk carrier Lady Zehma, transporting Ukrainian corn, landed on stranded. As a result, the Bosphorus was also blocked. This vessel was almost twice as large – 173 meters. As noted, the malfunction of the steering wheel became the cause of the incident. Note that the bulk carrier transported three thousand tons of corn to Italy.
Grain trading expert, manager of Maxigrain company Elena Neroba, has already told how much Ukraine was able to export food through the grain corridor. She noted that they are talking about about 1.5 million tons of products.
