Mobilization in Russia has been actively discussed in Ukraine again. However, the Buryats, Yakuts and other representatives of national minorities are increasingly refusing to participate in the war. Therefore, the Kremlin decided to shift its focus to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
About Channel 24 told the former SBU officer, an expert at the Institute for the Future Ivan Stupak. He emphasized that even money no longer stimulates Russians to join the troops.
According to him, Russia has two large groups of influence on mobilization:
- the first is for full mobilization, because the Russian army cannot cope with Ukraine, such people need a war, they say that Ukraine and the West are bad,
- the second is more neutral people who try to remember the war, they are more interested in watching fake videos about the successes of Russians at the front.
not to carry out mobilization and says that this can lead to active actions against the authorities. At the same time, Patrushev and Sich pour ways into the ears that mobilization is needed,” the expert said.
And the path oscillates. He doesn't know what position to take. But it would seem that he has already made the decision of partial mobilization for himself – voluntary. But it looks like it will be more of a forced mobilization. will put pressure on those who depend on the Russian authorities, including debtors, convicts, etc. – Stupak said.
He believes that by recruiting prisoners, Russia is trying to intimidate the Ukrainian military and civilians. They used to scare the Kadyrovites, now they “paint” the prisoners as cruel so that everyone is afraid.
The presenter stressed that the Institute for the Study of War found out that Russia sends men from economically depressed regions to war . They were lured by money or some status.
However, the SBU extruder noted that Russia has not yet decided what this partial mobilization will look like.
By the way, they shifted the focus of their attention from the depressed regions to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Indeed, in the regions (Bataria and others), moods and questions have already begun, why their people are dying, and not the Russians. And the Kremlin began to understand this, so they decided to shift the focus and recruit people from there. Stupak explained.
He believes that when things calm down in Russia's minority regions, they will start recruiting people from there again.
“But there are questions on mobilization in Moscow and St. the fact that a person will receive this money, because even the wounded Russian soldiers do not receive payments.
