The most since the beginning of the invasion: 79% of Russians are in favor of negotiations with Ukraine, – poll Vladislav Kravtsov

The number of Russians supporting peace talks with Ukraine has reached its maximum since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country. Now this number is 79%.

This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to the data of a survey by the research group Russian Field. The study was conducted from November 7 to 12 as part of a telephone survey among 1,600 Russians.

What are the results of the survey of Russians regarding the negotiations

According to the survey results, 53% of respondents are in favor of starting peace talks with Ukraine, and 36% are in favor of continuing the so-called “special military operation,” which Russia calls a full-scale war against Ukraine.

The share of those in favor of continuing the military operation has reached its lowest level, and the share of those in favor of negotiations has reached its highest level over the entire observation period, the study notes.

Also, 79% of respondents said they would support Vladimir Putin's decision to immediately end the war and sign a peace agreement with Ukraine. This is an absolute maximum since the start of the full-scale war. Accordingly, the share of those opposed to such a decision reached its lowest level for the entire observation period – 13%.

According to the research group, this decision is supported more often than the sample average by women and people aged 18 to 44, while it is not supported by men and respondents aged 45 and over. Putin’s peaceful decision is supported by almost all supporters of the transition to negotiations and those who would have cancelled the war against Ukraine in the past, as well as the overwhelming majority of those who do not approve of Russia’s current course and feel personally threatened by military action.

60% of respondents said they would support a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine without preconditions. 30% are against such a step, 9% found it difficult to answer, the rest refused to answer.

By the way, earlier Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the Russian president is allegedly not interested in freezing the war in Ukraine. According to the Kremlin lackey, Putin is “ready for contacts and negotiations” with Ukraine.
