Near Bakhmut, Ivan Mezey, a native of Transcarpathia, died in battles with the Russian enemy. The defender was only 34 years old.
Ivan Mezey has been defending Ukraine since August 2022. He served in the ranks of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade “Cold Yar”.

The warrior comes from the village of Synevyrska Polyana. The death of Mezey became known on February 28.

- Recently, during the defense of Bakhmut, master of sports in handball Roman Pronyuk died. A native of Kolomyia, he received awards at all-Ukrainian competitions, and also went to European ones.
