Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has responded to another large-scale attack by Russia. On the night of July 9, enemy troops launched the largest number of air targets on our cities in a single day.
The Russian Federation used 741 air attack weapons: 728 drones of various types, of which more than 300 were Shaheds, and 13 missiles – Kinzhals and Iskanders. Most of the targets were shot down.

The President reported that during the enemy attack, interceptor drones were used and mobile fire teams worked, thanks to which there were dozens of downed. Zelensky thanked all the soldiers for their accuracy.

— Currently, in many regions of Ukraine, the liquidation of the consequences of the Russian attack at night is continuing. The main blow was on Lutsk. Damage was also recorded in the Dnipro, Zhitomir, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions, — the president informed.
Zelensky stressed that this attack against Ukraine was “demonstrative” and shows that Russia does not aim to achieve peace and cease fire.
The head of state called on partners to strengthen sanctions against Russia, in particular against the gas and natural gas sector.
– More proof that sanctions are needed – painful sanctions against oil, which has been pumping money into Moscow's war machine for more than three years of war. Secondary sanctions against those who buy this oil and sponsor murders. The partners know how to put pressure so that Russia will be forced to think about ending the war, and not new strikes. Everyone who wants peace must act, – the president added.
