occupiers in the occupied territories of Ukraine are forcing teachers to cooperate. In addition, parents who do not want to send their children to a school where the “Russian world” will be taught are also receiving threats.
A representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine wrote about this on August 26 . He urged the world to respond to these crimes.
“Faced with resistance, Russia is threatening parents in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to send their children to orphanages unless they enroll them in Russian-occupied schools. Moscow uses education as a tool of oppression. We call on UNESCO to urgently respond to this crime,” Nikolenko wrote.
The situation in the Kherson region
< p dir="ltr"> Kherson activist Vladimir Molchanov said that the occupation authorities are trying to attract more children to education from September 1. Infidels check the houses of civilians. They are especially active in the villages.
According to Molchanov, people agree under duress and threats. Russians even threaten with deportation.
Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council Yuri Sobolevsky said that the occupiers in the Kherson region have declared their readiness to open 100 educational institutions. However, schools and kindergartens are not staffed. Mostly there is a leader, an accountant and several teachers. Teachers refuse to become collaborators.
Sobolevsky said that Russians are even willing to pay parents to send their children to “education”.
