The Russian occupation army has no achievements on the battlefield, and therefore vents its anger on the civilian population. To do this, she uses terror tactics against peaceful Ukrainians.
By attacking critical infrastructure as well as residential buildings, Russia violates the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of warfare. This was stated by the speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Shtupun.
Russia inflicted more than 80 strikes
Russia, no matter what it says about exclusively military facilities, terrorizes the civilian population with strikes on civilian infrastructure. So, in less than a day, due to massive missile strikes more than 20 settlements of Ukraine suffered. Among them: Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Ternopil, Khmelnitsky, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Pryluky, Nizhyn, Konotop, Kharkiv, Kremenchug, Dnipro, Krivoy Rog, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev and Odessa.
In as a result, not only the infrastructure of cities was destroyed, but civilians were killed once again. So, during the day the invaders launched more than 84 missile and air strikes. For terrorist shelling of Ukraine, Russia used:
- cruise missiles,
- ballistic missiles,
- anti-aircraft guided missiles,
- strike unmanned aerial vehicles.
However, Ukraine also did not leave Russian aggression unanswered. According to Alexander Shtupun, the defenders of Ukraine destroyed 56 air targets. Namely, 43 cruise missiles and 13 unmanned aerial vehicles.

- they are trying to hold the temporarily occupied territories,
- they are shelling the positions of our troops,
- they are concentrating their efforts on trying to disrupt the active actions of the Ukrainian army,
- conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Avdeevsky directions.
As Alexander Shtupun noted, the situation in the Volyn and Polesye directions remains unchanged, but in others the enemy fired. Thus, settlements in Seversky, Slobozhansky, Kramatorsk, Bakhmutsky and Avdeevsky directions came under fire – more than 25 cities and towns. For shelling the civilian population, the Russians used mortars, cannon and rocket artillery and tanks.
Note that in the South Buzh direction, the enemy during the current day carried out more than 93 shelling, which is almost three times more than than in the past.
Massive missile strikes on Ukraine: what is known
- Russia fired more than 80 missiles to attack Ukraine's civilian and critical infrastructure. Most of them were destroyed by air defense forces.
- According to the speaker of the National Police of Ukraine Maryana Reva, as a result of hits in Ukraine, more than 10 people were killed, and almost 90 were injured.
- However, blood is not enough for the invaders, therefore, they announced possible new massive strikes on the territory of Ukraine. Thus, Dmitry Medvedev called the political regime of Ukraine “Nazi” and threatening Russia's security. Therefore, it must be “dismantled”.
- President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Ukrainians from Kyiv. He said that the Russians have two targets: energy facilities throughout the country and people.
