Our soldiers continue to heroically destroy the invaders. American analysts have come to the conclusion that the losses of Russian personnel in Ukraine exceeded the total losses in all conflicts after the Second World War.

Specialists of the American Center for Strategic and International Studies noted that Russia's total losses in Ukraine in killed and wounded range from 200,000 to 250,000 people. These figures cover the military, intelligence officers, Wagner PMC mercenaries, DPR and LPR militants.

In what other countries did Russians die?

The experts report says that since the end of the Second World War, most of the Russian military died:

  • in Afghanistan – about 16 thousand people:
  • in Chechnya – from 12 thousand to 25 thousand people;
  • in Ukraine during the fighting in the Donbass (before a full-scale war) – from 6-7 thousand people.

Interestingly, in Chechnya, Russia lost an average of 95 to 185 soldiers every month, and in Afghanistan – from 130 to 145 soldiers.

During the first year of a full-scale war in Ukraine, the Russian army lost an average of 5,000 to 5,800 troops every month.

The war in Ukraine brought Russia the greatest losses

Consequently, the average number of Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine is at least 25 times the monthly casualties in Chechnya and 35 times the number killed in Afghanistan.

Analysts point out that this only highlights the harsh realities of war of attrition. Experts also add that the rate of Russian losses is much higher than in any Russian or Russian war after 1945.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 149,890 Russian invaders were eliminated. Over the past day alone, 650 fighters have replenished the statistics of enemy losses.
