There may be people in the basements of Azovstal/Collage of Channel 24
More than 100 civilians remain on the territory of the Azovstal plant. The evacuation must continue.
There are civilians at Azovstal
Pavel Kirilenko, head of the Donetsk police department, said this. In total, up to 100 thousand people remain in Mariupol, according to him.
The evacuation process is difficult, a large number of people are involved in it. The evacuation itself lasts several days. One of the reasons is the “filtration camps” of infidels, Kirilenko said.
According to him, aviation and artillery of the Russian military are constantly shelling Azovstal.
People can be blocked in bomb shelters
By the way, in an interview with Channel 24, ex-commander of the regiment of Mariupol defenders Maxim Zhorin also said that there may still be civilians in the bomb shelters of Azovstal blocked by rubble.
The fact is that there are several collapsed bomb shelters that, due to constant shelling, cannot be unlocked and checked how many living people were left there and how many there were in general. Therefore, now we cannot say exactly how many people are left on the territory of the Azovstal plant,โ the military man explained.
Maxim Zhorin also noted that the world does not realize that genocide is literally taking place in Mariupol – the Russians have already killed thousands of Ukrainians are still trying to destroy those around them.
While international organizations and world leaders are dragging on, people are dying there.
The ex-commander of the Mariupol Defenders Regiment also noted that he believes in the possibility of evacuating doctors, the wounded and the military from Azovstal.
Evacuation from Azovstal: current
- On April 26, Putin “allowed” the UN to evacuate at least civilians from Azovstal. The first evacuation took place on May 1 and continued for several days. In total, more than 600 civilians were taken out.
- Despite the declared silence in Mariupol, the invaders resumed shelling and assault on Azovstal.
- On May 3, the Russians launched an assault on Azovstal, and on May 4 May have already broken into the territory of the plant.
- The defenders continue to repel enemy attacks. But they are running out of strength, weapons and banal food.
- How many soldiers are now in Mariupol is unknown. However, the military reports that they have many wounded who need medical attention.
- To save the Ukrainian military, they created a petition calling for the UN to intervene in the blockade of Ukrainians at the Azovstal plant.
