< strong _ngcontent-sc88="">More than 1.2 million people affected by the war have received assistance as of July 13th. It was allocated from the humanitarian account of the Ministry of Social Policy at the NBU.

Marina Lazebna, Minister of Social Policy, said that in total more than 462 million hryvnias were financed. Approximately 140 million hryvnias were allocated to provide food.

According to Lazebna, most of the money was directed to meet food needs in:

  • cities where active hostilities continue;
  • de-occupied settlements;
  • communities hosting a large number of internally displaced people.

In addition, 100 million hryvnias were allocated to a program to purchase housing for large families. We are talking about people who lost their homes as a result of hostilities.

Also, de-occupied territories were provided for actually 52 million hryvnia:

  • modular mobile filling stations;
  • fuels and lubricants

By combining resources and capabilities, we have a high efficiency in the use of funds, – Lazebna said.

The Ministry of Social Policy emphasized that together they managed to:

  • evacuate civilians from places where active hostilities continue;
  • provide people with instant cash payments at train stations immediately upon arrival in relatively safe cities;
  • provide internally displaced persons with food and assistance;
  • help people in places where active hostilities continue;

Ukraine received a new tranche of aid from the United States

  • Denys Shmihal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, announced that Ukraine received a new tranche of grant aid from USA. This time, they are talking about $1.7 billion.
  • According to Shmyhal, this is the second grant from the United States in the last two weeks.
