More than 1.1 million war victims received payments from international organizations

International organizations constantly pay financial assistance to the victims of the war. In total, they have already transferred funds to more than 1.1 million Ukrainians.

Funds from international organizations do not come through the accounts of the Ministry of Social Policy. Their organizations are sent directly to the individual. This was announced by the Minister of Social Policy Maryna Lazebna on July 13.

More than a million affected Ukrainians received help

As of July 1, 2022, we have reports from international organizations that more than 1.1 million of those that we shared with our partners on verified lists have already received payments from them,” says Lazebna.

In total, the Ministry of Social Policy attracted more than 10 billion hryvnia to pay benefits to more than 2 million people affected by the war.

Funds are paid in the amount of 2200 to 2500 hryvnia within 1 – 3 months. They are additional to the state ones.

Who paid the most

  • UN World Food Program – more than 670 thousand people received funds.
  • Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Red Cross Society of Ukraine – paid almost 180 thousand people.
  • Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees – assistance to 167 thousand people.
  • UNICEF – payment to 84 thousand people.
