Yakovenko noted that more and more Russians go over to the side of Ukraine/Collage of 24 channels
< strong _ngcontent-sc129="">Putin's regime is starting to get more and more toxic. The Russians, who are aware of his terrible and inhuman crimes, begin to protest.
This was reported to Channel 24 by Russian journalist Igor Yakovenko. In his opinion, it is very important that finally the Putin regime and the exposure of its crimes cause people to protest.
Russians will go over to the side of peace
According to him, it is likely that the terrible arbitrariness of the Russian military will finally affect the citizens of Russia, for example, in Bucha and other settlements in Ukraine. That is, after that it is no longer possible to simply resist, the limit of patience ends in Bucha, Mariupol and other crimes of the Putin regime.
In addition, as Yakovenko noted, someone may begin to understand that further cooperation with this mode is simply unsafe. That is why you should move to the bright side of the world.
The main thing is that now more Russians will go over to the side of Ukraine. And that means – on the side of goodness and peace, – the journalist emphasized.
He noted that these are deep inner motives of everyone, which are difficult to determine. However, in his opinion, it is not worth doing it now.
Author of world politics
According to Yakovenko, now the main author of world politics (including domestic Russian) is the Ukrainian army. And due to the fact that our military will go on the counteroffensive and liberate more and more territory of Ukraine from Russian invaders, the protest action will increase.
“In my opinion, the causal relationship is obvious here,” the journalist emphasized.
Motivation of the Russians
He also added that it is still difficult to understand the motivation of the Russian protest. That is, the resistance will really be anti-war for them, in order to stop the illegal bloodshed in Ukraine, or it will be sent to save their own skin – it is not known.
“There is no special distribution here. It is always difficult to determine the motivation of people. Did they really see the light and decided to oppose the war. Or is it just an attempt to somehow escape and settle in the post-war world,” summed up Yakovenko.

Protests in Russia: Brief
- During a meeting with journalists, Vladimir Zelensky commented on the protests in Russia. He noted that so far there are few Russians who come out to rallies against the war in Ukraine, but Ukraine is grateful for that too.
- He also stressed that the nuclear state is afraid of its own people coming out to protest. According to him, that is why they are being thrown behind bars.
- In addition, the Russians massively set fire to military registration and enlistment offices throughout Russia. In particular, 7 such actions of disobedience are already known. The last arson took place yesterday, May 8, in the Volgograd region.
